Jennifer Mead

CEO & Owner

Jennifer Mead has over 20 years of experience in the marketing, management and development of transportation services across multiple modes, specializing in Expediting and Air Freight. Before launching her own business, Jennifer served at the helm of numerous pivotal operations, including management of a national call center, managing air freight operations and serving as Vice President & Director of Sales & Marketing for several organizations. Her extensive background is steeped in a commitment to providing authentic service rooted in a true desire to exceed each customer’s unique needs.

On a day-to-day basis, Jennifer is focused mainly on Business Development working closely with the Sales & Marketing team, driving increased carrier and fleet capacity, and ensuring the Company’s services reflect the needs of the customer base. She continues to offer daily operational support and management.  

Jennifer has built invaluable relationships with her clientele over the years, helping businesses and individuals to achieve their transportation goals by sourcing the best solutions for their unique needs. Under Jennifer's visionary direction S-2international thrives on the provision of personalized attention and exceptional transportation performance.

Jennifer attended Kansas State University and graduated from Kent State University. Jennifer is a Certified Transportation Broker. She serves on the School Council of the local Middle School.

She resides in the Atlanta, GA area with her husband, Chris and her two daughters, Jessica and Ashleigh. The family is actively involved in their Community and in youth Fast Pitch Softball.

Chris Mead

CFO & Owner

After working behind the scenes with S-2 since its inception handling the financial management of the business, Chris joined the S-2 team full-time in December of 2012. He has an extensive background in business, having worked within the Kinko’s management organization for nearly 20 years opening new operations, training employees and managing stores for quality service and profitability. Chris utilized his training experience, following his career with Kinko’s, teaching high-school students math in the Henry County School District.

Chris’s diverse background in management and training makes him a perfect fit for his current role as CFO. On a day-to-day basis he is responsible for managing S-2’s finances, handling purchasing, supporting facility management and leading our Human Resources Department. He is strongly committed to our Company Vision (to be the most loved and respected transportation solution provider by customers who know us and use us) and ensures the team has the proper foundation to achieve its goals.

He grew up in Westerville, OH where he played Varsity golf. He was part of an OCC Championship Golf team twice and earned a scholarship for his golf skills. He also played on the JV Tennis Team. Chris graduated from Kent State University with a degree in business. At Kent he played Lacrosse.

When not at work Chris leads an active life, centered around family and community. He has served as the President of the HOA for nearly a decade and spends countless hours coaching Fast Pitch Softball. He is the part-time head coach of the East Cobb Legends Fast Pitch team.  

Chris resides in the Atlanta, GA area with Jennifer and their two daughters, Jessica and Ashleigh.

Brian Lawson

Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Brian Lawson is the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, tasked with developing and implementing a strategic sales strategy and vision for our Company. Brian's transportation career started in 1994 with Airborne Express. During his career, Brian has gained transportation experience in Next Flight Out / Over the Counter Air Expedite, Domestic and International Freight Forwarding, Ground Expedite, Regional and Long Haul Truckload Services, Dedicated Truckload Services, Warehousing and 3PL Freight Management. His previous career experience included positions as Account Manager, Sales Manager, Operation's Manager, and Director of Sales and Operations. Brian received his Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma and has successfully applied these practices in the supply chain industry to improve profitability for both the customer and the operating organization. He is very excited to see how he can deliver value, service and savings to your organization!

Outside of work, Brian enjoys spending time with his family. He loves the outdoors and enjoys biking and running. Brian is very involved in his community and volunteers his time as a basketball coach.

Jeff Deutsch

Vice President, Service Operations

Jeff Deutsch is a Vice President of S-2 and an esteemed logistics professional, devoting 20+ years' experience in operations and sales to our business enterprise. His previous work touched upon both asset and non-asset based transportation, earning Jeff several Sales Achievement awards and the gratitude of countless customers.

Jeff is a fan of Bruce Springsteen, The Wizard of Oz, and Twinkies (but let it be known, he hates Spaghetti-Os). He loves to identify solutions where all parties involved end up winning, and we're proud to say that, at S-2international, successful solutions are his specialty.

Ed Perry

Director, Customer Satisfaction

Ed Perry has several decades of experience in logistics. He began his career with a US - Canadian Air Courier service and has since moved on, further cultivating his total logistics experience. Ed has spent the last 25+ years in Senior Management supporting logistical operations and customer service. He has worked in both non asset and asset. He has spent the last 13 years as Director of Customer Service for the largest Intermodal provider in North America. He takes great pride in being a customer advocate with a strong belief in both the customer and the employee.

Ed is a great fan of music and art. As an audiophile, he says there is nothing sweeter then the sound of Vinyl / analog music. He enjoys Jazz, Blues, and Classical music. Ed truly enjoys logistics. He loves bringing the things to market that enriches the lives of the end user.

Stefanie Meuse

Director, Administration & Safety Compliance

With decades of experience in transportation and warehousing, Stefanie Meuse has gained an incredible knowledge and understanding of multiple modes, from expedite and air, to truckload, local P&D, and LTL. She brings to S-2international an extensive background in warehouse management, raw to finished product distribution, and pick and pack supply chain experience.

In her personal life, Stefanie is passionate about her three children. Professionally, Stefanie enjoys experiencing something new every day, and the opportunity to rise to and learn from new challenges.

Stefanie is HAZMAT certified, forklift certified, and is committed to pushing beyond expectations. She finds wisdom in "scientia potentia est" a Latin aphorism meaning knowledge is power.

Brittany Hamilton

Manager, Service Quality

A comprehensive understanding of all facets of transportation is important in this business, and Brittany Hamilton brings an impressively well-rounded resume of experience to the table at S-2international. Brittany has worked in transportation for 15+ years, progressing from operations and customer service departments to freight storage and warehousing. Adding to her merits, Brittany has also handled special long-term projects for a Fortune 500 company. Now, Brittany is taking her industry knowledge, keen eye for detail, and overall understanding of the wants and needs of S-2, and focusing on quality of S-2 services, customer care, and satisfaction.

She and her husband have known each other since the 4th grade, and live together with five amazing dogs.

Jeffrey Spates

Manager, Business Development

Jeff Spates has worked in the transportation industry for over 15 years in many capacities ranging from dispatcher and customer service, to sales and owner/operator. He prides himself on going the extra mile for customers and coworkers, keeping open and honest communications, and getting a job done right, from start to finish.

Jeff has recently moved to Georgia to escape the winters in his previous state of Michigan. He has three sons, who are the love of his life. He enjoys cheering for his favorite sports teams, Michigan State Spartans and the Detroit Lions.

Jarrett Epps

Strategic Account Executive

Jarrett comes to S-2 with over 20 years of experience in the transportation industry. His knowledge ranges from courier to freight forwarding to 3PL logistics. Jarrett has held a variety of positions in operations, sales and management bringing a wealth of knowledge to the S-2 team.

Since moving to Georgia in 2002, Jarrett's focus has been on providing 3PL logistics services for the Department of Defense through the U.S. Army's Surface Deployment and Distribution Command.

In Jarrett's spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and performing on the piano.

Brandon Thompson

Lead Customer Care Specialist

Brandon Thompson is a skillful asset to the S-2 team. His inquisitive nature offers a never-ending supply of innovative solutions to meet our clients' unique shipping needs. Brandon's customer-oriented background includes servicing individuals and businesses in the retail, hospitality, and food and beverage industries. These experiences have equipped him with the finesse and rapport needed to efficiently progress communications and operations between both clients and colleagues.

In his personal time, Brandon enjoys sports and outdoor activities such as camping, fishing and hiking. Brandon also likes listening to music and playing the blues on guitar. Adam Deutsch

Customer Development Specialist

Adam Deutsch jumped into the logistics business right out of high school. While working in a warehouse pick pack environment, Adam became more fascinated by the freight aspect of logistics. After working for S-2 for several years, he was determined to further cultivate his knowledge and learn other aspects of the business. He bought a sprinter and went on the road as an owner operator. "The road was great. I learned a lot about our industry." The experience on the road created more desire to help people with their logistics needs and he resumed his position here at S-2. He truly enjoys making "things" happen for customers and his team mates.

Adam enjoys all sports, including playing tennis. His favorite TV show is Shark Tank, as he is always conjuring up the next big thing.

Akhenaten Hotep Amun

Customer Development Specialist

Akhenaten Hotep Amun joined S-2 in a part-time capacity in mid-2014. During the day, he teaches high school math. After his school day, Hotep jumps into the mix at S-2 as a Customer Development Specialist. While he works on our standard expedites, he gravitates to the tougher-to-cover shipments and also specializes in truckload. He intends to continue teaching through to retirement, but wants to work in logistics for the rest of his life!

Hotep is originally from Fort Lauderdale FL and is one of 5 children. He enjoys reading, writing, cooking, landscaping, painting and debates about things that matter. He plans to finish his Ph.D. at Georgia State and also aspires to build his own fleet of flatbeds and tractors as a fleet owner.

Hotep (previously, Gerard Douglas Petty) is married and has one son, Gerard Douglas Petty II. He and his wife hope someday to own a large property to use for farming and to grow their family.

Angela Powell

Customer Development Specialist - 3rd Shift

Angela Powell has 13+ years of transportation experience specializing in customer service, account management, special services, and damages & loss. She is a mother of three, step-mother of two. and is engaged to a patient and caring man. Angela is currently attending CTU to receive her Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice and Human Services. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, attending sporting events and bbqs. She loves swimming, cooking exotic cuisine, and participating in various cultural events. Angela is using her accumulated years of experience, heading up operations on our 3rd shift as a Customer Development Specialist. 

Chanell Green

Customer Development Specialist

Chanell Green has a varied background with a foundation of care and commitment. She is relatively new to the logistics industry, having worked previously as a dangerous goods specialist, focused on driver safety. Chanell comes to S-2 with enthusiasm and a passion for learning. She is no stranger to customer service, having worked in numerous different industries focused and specialized on detail and attentiveness.

Chanell has a big heart and is all about people - proven in her degree of study and in her personal time. She is an anthropology major with a minor in linguistics. She volunteers her time at Southern Grace Hospice sitting with Alzheimer patients, and contributes her time to numerous charities within the community. She enjoys traveling and cuddling with her dogs.

Colleen Mavroudis

Customer Development Specialist

Colleen Mavroudis is a Customer Development Specialist building customer relations, quoting, and booking. Colleen has over 20 years' experience in a number of areas in and outside of transportation. She has served as a load manager, account manager and terminal manager in the logistics world and has also worked in accounting and sales. Her varied experience, strong drive, and commitment to customer satisfaction makes her a great fit in any capacity.

Colleen enjoys horseback riding and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Corin Duginski

Customer Care Specialist

Corin Duginski started his career in logistics at S-2. A smart, self-starter, Corin has learned a lot and continues to thirst for more. Corin had a brief year sabatical from S-2, joining fellow S-2 employee Adam Deutsch out on the road driving in tandem in a Sprinter van around the U.S.  The experience was a great opportunity to learn the other side of logistics and get a real look at the actual processes, and demands of shipping and receiving. Returning once again to S-2, Corin draws from his new experience to better service the customers, knowing the inner workings, restraints, and details of transportation.

Corin enjoys listening to music as well as playing any sports.

Janine Lawrence

Account Manager

Janine is transferring her expertise as a Delivery and Performance Support Specialist for Citibank, where she trained sales associates, into sales and account management for S2. Her goal is to help grow S2 by bringing new accounts to the table and prospering existing accounts through building stronger relationships between S2 and our clients.

Janine holds a business degree as well as a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education Her background also encompasses a huge list of training; including Harvard Online, Ken Blanchard Leadership training, and Facilitation School.

Before her years with Citibank, Janine was a Pastry Chef in Philadelphia, PA and Santa Fe, NM where she was married. She is the devoted mother of one 11 year old daughter who keeps her on her toes and in check. She uses her skills as a chef to teach in-home cooking classes to kids during the summer.

Jasmine McGath

Customer Development Specialist

Jasmine McGath joins S-2 working in the Customer Development Specialist role. Jasmine has great customer skills, a positive attitude and strong work ethic. She is passionate about helping others and is always trying to learn more and expand her sales experience. Being great is about being fearless, making mistakes, and learning from them, and Jasmine is excited to start her new journey of growth, on the path to greatness with S-2.

After a long day of work, Jasmine enjoys spending time with her twins and believes there is no greater gift than being a mother. Jasmine originally hails from Chicago and is a huge sports fan – Go Blackhawks, Go Bulls, and Go Cubs!

Jessica Mead

Administrative Assistant

Jessica Mead joined S-2 as an Administration Assistant, helping with various clerical and design/marketing research tasks within the Administration & Marketing department. This is her first job, and we're happy to pave her way to what surely will be a very bright future. Jessica is a high school student and is interested in pursuing a career in interior design. The tools she will learn at S-2 will be a great foundation to which to build on. Jessica is extremely bright, eager to learn, and will be a great help here at S-2.

Kim Smith

Compliance Administrator

Kim Smith works part time at S-2 in the Compliance Department ensuring S-2 is partnered with the best quality fleet of carriers. Kim has 20+ years in customer service and administrative experience. She previously worked for the State of Georgia for 17 years. She is eager to always keep learning and growing professionally, utilizing that knowledge to offer top-notch service to all our valued customers.

Kim is married to an amazing man, and has two beautiful daughters. She enjoys spending quality time with her family, attending her daughter's lacrosse games, concerts, movies, and traveling, 

Kimberly Meuse

Customer Care Specialist

Kimberly Meuse is new to the logistics industry, but is no stranger to fast-paced, quick thinking. Kim’s previous work experience taught her focus, how to multitask, and truly care for those you serve. She utilizes that foundation of heart-driven service and quality every day with S-2 customers. Kim has a drive and passion to know more and be the best she can be for herself and those around her. Her thirst for knowledge and work-ethic not only help her to succeed, but also helps to propel S-2 forward.

Marli Belk

Customer Care Specialist

Marli Belk is a returning employee to S-2. Marli is always learning and growing in her transportation experience and hungry for more. She has a positive outlook and brings a refreshing level of enthusiasm to the day-to-day morale.

Marli is born and raised in Georgia and in her free time enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and family being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and kayaking. She also loves shopping!

Melissa Roach

Accounting Assistant

Melissa is part of our Accounting team. She is responsible for ensuring customers are invoiced accurately & promptly and assists our CFO to get our carriers paid on time! Prior to S-2 she worked in retail management and loves the change from retail to transportation. She is a team player and enjoys working will all members of the S-2 team. 

She is happily married to her best friend, Tony. They are proud parents of Skylar and Tony Jr. She enjoys spending time with family, visiting the mountains, and going to Nascar races. Her goals in life are to live life to the fullest with the people who matter most, love like there is no tomorrow and be the best she can be at everything she does.

Paula Dunlap

Customer Development Specialist - 3rd Shift

Paula Dunlap has worked in warehousing and transportation for 16+ years, she considers herself to be a true "hands-on" professional. Paula has proven time and again that she learns best from doing a task rather than reading and researching it - and she utilizes this proactive approach regularly to streamline S-2international's projects and better our efforts for our clients.

Most of Paula's time is spent with her husband, Russell, her dog, Charlie, and her mother. She also loves being around her two grandsons, nieces and nephews. While Paula fancies herself a big Nascar and NHRA racing fan, the Special Olympics and Alzheimer's Association are the causes that are most dear to her. Paula's life motto, which we see put into practice every day, is “Give unto others as you would have them give unto you.”

Richard Singer

Business Analyst

Dick serves as our Business Analyst. In this role, he tracks our activity and results, identifying key trends for enhancing our sales and service outcomes. He has an extensive background in Sales and Marketing Management, along with in-depth experience and management responsibility for Information Management, Data Analysis and Management Consulting.

Dick's undergraduate degree was in Business Administration - Marketing from the University of Northern Iowa. In addition, he attended Drake University for Graduate course work.

Ron Driver

Truckload Movement Specialist - S2xpedite

Ron has over 20 years of experience in the transportation and production scheduling field, as well as a deep knowledge of the supply chain industry. He graduated from Russell High School and attended Landmark Baptist Bible College in Florida. He is an ordained minister and enjoys working in the jail and prison systems. Nothing pleases him more than to see someone place the broken pieces of their life together and become whole again.

Ron has five children, two step daughters, and a total of nine grandchildren. He is happily married to his wife, Brenda, and they enjoy attending Turning Point Church in McDonough, where Ron regularly volunteers his time. He loves music, the arts, politics, reading and just spending time with his wife doing anything as long as they together. One of life’s greatest pleasures is spending time with their grandchildren.

Teresa Floury

Accounting Assistant

Teresa is part of the accounting team, as an Accounting Assistant. She is responsible for ensure the “i’s” are dotted and “t’s” are crossed. She assists in the accounts recievables and payables, diligently verifying accurate information and records. Prior to S-2 she spent 25 years with Kinko’s/FedEx Office. She was a project manager and her number one job was to make sure the customer experience was excellent! She is a hard-worker, putting customers first.  

She and her husband Brett are the proud parents of their personal HERO Carl. He is a soldier in the US Army National Guard. Through her son she has met some of the best people and she believes there is nothing like the heart of a soldier…HOOAH!!!!

Teresa has an intense love of God, Country and family. She also enjoys watching the Red Sox play. She is an avid photography and visits the Atlanta Botanical Gardens as it is a wonderful place to take pictures.

Tre' Wilson

Customer Development Specialist

Tre' Wilson hails originally from the Virgin Islands, then Long Island, NY, Tre' has lived and worked in Georgia within the transportation industry for over a decade working with his family. Tre' has amassed years of knowledge and confidence, driven by a customer-first mentality. He has now found an extended family here at S-2 and relishes learning new things and taking on new challenges.

Tre' enjoys playing sports, namely soccer, traveling, and cars.
